After completing a foundation course at Eastbourne, Vicki went on to gain a Diploma in Fine Art (sculpture) from Kennington School of Art, London, where she received a classical training with an emphasis on life drawing and modelling.
Vicki’s work has always been figurative but recently her sculptures have become more quirky as she takes her influence from everyday observations. This is a departure from the more serious commissions for portrait heads, which she still enjoys, but relishes creating lighter sculptures as well. She is now an active member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen and Sussex Guild.

Working mainly with stoneware clay and using oxides to colour her pieces, Vicki will occasionally add a touch of gold leaf – a reflection of her passion for jewellery. Indeed many of her sculptures do feature the odd bejewelled ear, neck or wrist, even ankle!
